Tridonic is launching TALEXXengine STARK INDI, an LED system that produces uniform light for both direct and indirect illumination. The light is directed downwards and upwards in a ratio of 80 % to 20 %, or vice versa. With its slim low-profile form the LED system gives designers enormous freedom and can be used as a replacement for T5 and TCL lamps. Its main applications include offices and educational establishments.  more

Tridonic is marketing an LED system which offers particular benefits for circular and square ceiling and wall-mounted luminaires in the shape of TALEXXengine STARK CLE. Its octagonal design is faintly reminiscent of DD or toroidal compact fluorescent lamps but leaves them far behind when it comes to energy efficiency. 15 W is sufficient to achieve the same brightness as a 28 W DD compact fluorescent lamp. And with a service life of 50,000 hours, LED luminaires have a long future ahead of them.  more

The new BVB fan shop that the Bundesliga football team Borussia Dortmund has opened in the basement of the Thier Gallery, the most up-to-date and largest shopping centre in Dortmund, a retail area of around 160 square metres. BVB fans can find anything to do with their favourite team here. The Dortmund-based company of Dula-Werke Dustman & Co GmbH was commissioned to plan and implement the lighting installation. A key requirement was that the club colours of black and yellow should feature prominently. The decision went in favour of an installation based exclusively on LEDs and comprising TALEXX products from Tridonic because such an installation could meet all the stated requirements. more

Changes are taking place in the management team of the Zumtobel Group's components business (Tridonic brand): Tridonic CEO Walter Ziegler and COO Rüdiger Kofahl are to leave the company at the end of January. For an interim period, the Chairman of the Management Board of Zumtobel AG, Harald Sommerer, will be taking charge of the management of Tridonic in addition to his role as Group CEO, working closely with Tridonic CFO Werner Blum. Executive search measures are being initiated to fill the two vacancies. more
