Alfred Felder – CEO
“We offer the perfect solutions for smart, connected and efficient lighting. That is our mission and that is what we have organized Tridonic to deliver.
Our objectives are to continue to be a leading supplier of component solutions and to shape the future of light together with our customers. We maintain close contact with our customers so we can react directly to their requests and requirements. The results of the cooperations are perfectly matched systems and tailor-made solutions in which LED technology can be used. The new LED Driver generation is a good example. The devices in the TALEXXdriver PREMIUM portfolio are not only more efficient, more compact and offer more functions, they also include a digital ready2mains interface. This enables luminaires to be dimmed without the need for additional wiring, and also allows the existing mains cable to be used for data transfer.
The new technology and the new markets demand a global presence. We are meeting this demand, for example with an independent Asia organization. In this important growth market we are thus able to remain close to customers and react promptly to their needs. We are making good progress in opening up other growth markets such as Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North America. We are therefore in a position to offer our customers throughout the world a complete and innovative portfolio.
We have completed our restructuring to take account of LED technology and are operating successfully on the global markets. We would now like to offer our customers various services that go beyond lighting. For us as an innovative company, research and development is therefore of crucial importance. Development projects for LED-based applications now constitute more than 90 percent of our R&D activities. We are therefore well set up for the LED age and are creating a solid basis for the new world of connected lighting in which software and services will play the main roles. Our vision is a connected lighting system that can link all the devices with one another. Lighting would then not only offer a network for the Internet of Things but also collect data and consequently open up services beyond lighting.”
