Ignitors and power switches
FAQ: Frequently asked questions
-
What is the factory setting of ZRM U6M A001?
-
The ZRM U6M automatically calculates the midnight based on the switch-on time in the evening and the switch-off time in the morning. Three hours before midnight the ZRM U6M switches to the lower level and four hours after midnight back to 100 %.

-
Which ballasts/ignitors are suitable for my lamp?
-
This depends on
- the application
- the lamp
- and the quality of the luminaire.
-
-
How does ZRM U6M determine the switch-over time?
-
ZRM U6M has an internal clock. This records the switch-on times in the night. The average of the operating time over the last three days is used as a reference for the switchover time for the current day. This method compensates for the different sunset times during the year.

-
How do the ZRM U6M and ZRM U6L power changeover switches reduce the power?
-
Special ballasts with power taps are switched to a lower output. This enables energy savings to be made without affecting the life of the lamp.
-
-
What is the difference between ZRM U6L and ZRM U6L/T?
-
ZRM U6L/T has a built-in delay. After every interruption in the power supply the lamp is operated at 100 % output for a period of 330 seconds irrespective of the switching status of the control line. This prevents the lamp ageing prematurely.
ZRM U6L does not have a built-in delay. The switch-on behaviour is regulated directly via the control line.
