One National Circuit

Location: Canberra/Australia
Products: PCA EXCEL one4all, EM PRO EZ, Smart-LS II

The Departments of Australia’s Prime Minister and Cabinet reside in the nation’s capital city of Canberra at One National Circuit.

Approximately 2,500 54 W T5 luminaires were supplied by Harcroft Lighting for this prestigious project. These are wired with Tridonic PCA EXCEL one4all ballasts and in order to take full advantage of available daylight harvesting, the two perimeter rows are fitted with Tridonic Smart-LS II light sensors to automatically adjust the light output in response to natural light.

Offices, breakout rooms and quiet rooms are controlled using local switches and override sequences triggered by occupancy sensors. Profiles in the DALI line controllers provide different control functions and override sequences for office hours and after-hours.

The DALI control lighting system combines lighting, emergency lighting and controls in one managed system from Clipsal, located in switchboards on each floor and connected to an Ethernet network to the facility management office. The DALI line controllers monitor the status of all luminaires and emergency lights, checks communications and tracks lamp hours and emergency lighting tests. They also manage schedules, occupancy control, daylight harvesting, corridorFUNCTION, sequences and command lists. Emergency light discharge tests are run by the line controllers which track the test and report the test results.

Zumtobel weatherproof luminaires containing Tridonic PCA EXCEL one4all and DALI EM PRO emergency inverters were incorporated into the fire stairs and underground car parks.
